I was off work, so I got some things done. Set an evening at a friend’s shop to put the lowering springs done. I also dropped the wheels off at the powder coating shop, I settled on heavy metallic silver. Looks low key, & keeps the original look.
Same silver & metallic level of thes e the same guy who is doing mine just finished.

Low maintenance , how I like it.
Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

I found $95 that I misplaced a couple of weeks ago and thought was long gone. Lots of electronic parts arrived so now I can get going on some projects. It’s a good day.

My new job is going alright. I still have a lot to learn. Thankfully, I’ve been with the trainer or doing certification in the back, so I don’t have to worry about putting myself completely out there quite yet.

Not bad. This reminds me that I saw something the other day:

How much does it cost to re-finish a set of wheels? I think I’d like to get the Apex ARC-8s on my 128i redone in silver or anthracite. I’m a bit done with having black wheels because they only really look good when clean, which mine never are because I drive on gravel roads.

The guy I’m going through (his Instagram is in the post)is charging $500. Checking for any bends(repairing if needed), media blast, & powder coating. He has really low overhead costs, it’s why his prices are a little cheaper then normal.

That’s not bad at all, very tempting. If the turnaround time isn’t too long I can easily throw the stock wheels back on for a bit. I’m gonna have to spend some time working on it anyway to install the suspension I got and do some preventative maintenance.

He told me it be a 3-4 week turn around. It’s small 1 man shop. When I dropped mine off he had lots wheels there in various stages. Including mine it was 5 sets waiting to get started, a few blasted, some waiting to go in the oven.

I’ll probably just wait for winter then, I’ll have the wheels off the car then anyway. Seems like a cool shop though, the variety of stuff of their Insta is great.
